Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra sent a letter on Tuesday to the Union government recommending the name of the most senior judge, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, as his successor. CJI Misra retires October 2. Justice Gogoi is one of the four senior SC judges who held a press conference against CJI Misra over “selective” case allocation.
