Do you even know if your child is diabetic?

Type 1 diabetes is an auto immune disorder, where a person's own immunity turns against the body, thereby killing insulin producing cells in one's pancreas. This can leave children heavily dependent on insulin injections. Sadly, the cause of the disease remains unknown. The biggest issue clearly is lack of awareness. For most adults, it is difficult to believe that a child can have diabetes and hence they don't get them tested.
