Abdur Rahman, an inspector general-rank police officer, quit the service on Wednesday in “civil disobedience” against CAB whose “whole idea”, he said, “is to divide the nation on religious and sectarian lines” and “create fear” among Muslims. Condemning the bill, Rahman called it “totally divisive and unconstitutional… and against the very basic feature of equality before the law.”
